An Average Day in Paradise

Jump in your boat and come along with us as we visit some of our favorite places in and around Charlotte Harbor

Jump in your boat and come along with us as we visit some of our favorite places. Let's start right here in Punta Gorda and pull in to Laishley Marina Park. This brand-new facility is the city of Punta Gorda's municipal marina and features 85 boat slips, public boat launch, ship's store and the Laishley Crab House restaurant. Next, we run just a couple of miles downstream to Fishermen's Village. This large and very popular facility offers 34 shops and restaurants, a fuel dock and 111 brand new slips.

Cruising south down the Harbor's eastern shore brings us to world renowned Burnt Store Marina with its' 525 wet slips for boats up to 100'. Stop by Portobello's for steak, seafood or a refreshing cocktail on the deck overlooking the marina basin.

A quick 7 mile run south west from Burnt Store Marina brings us to the quaint little village of Bokeelia located at the northern end of Pine Island. Here lie Four Winds Marina and the laid back Lazy Flamingo restaurant with its cold beer and fresh shrimp dishes.

Now follow us as we wind through the channels and around the mangrove islands to fabulous Cabbage Key. This 100 acre island resort located on the ICW waterway features a 75 year old lodge with a restaurant and bar papered with approximately $65,000 worth of one dollar bills and is rumored to be the inspiration for Jimmy Buffet's hit song "Cheeseburger in Paradise." Tie up at one of their slips for an overnight and enjoy life the "Cabbage Key way."

About 4 miles north up the ICW lies Pelican Bay, one of S.W. Florida's most popular anchorages. On the western shore of Pelican Bay is Cayo Costa Island which boasts the finest gulf beach in the area. This 9 mile stretch of beach can be reached by tram from the ranger station on the island or for the ultimate thrill, follow us through the pass and then southwest for a few miles as we anchor off the beach. We can swim off the boat or walk ashore in the warm, gentle surf. We will enjoy a picnic lunch, walk the beach and watch an incredible sunset.

Nice to have you along with us and we hope you enjoyed our version of paradise. Contact us, we'll be happy to show you around.
